ABOUT HALLMARK TRACK CLUB

Hallmark Track Club was founded by Newton Braziel in 1987 as a past time for athletes he coached for Hallmark Football and Cheer. At first it was exclusive to family and kids from the football program, but as it grew and became more successful the club attracted more athletes from other football teams and other areas. We participated in Hershey's Track and Field Program, ARCO Jesse Owens Games and TAAF. As we slowly racked up several championships and records our numbers took a jump.

By 1992 we had won our first USATF National Championship in the Midget Boys 4x100 relay. By 1997 we were more than a hundred strong and began to gain more coaches and staff as well as respect from the track community for the level of competition. In 1999 the same team of Midget Boys were now Young Men and ran the fastest time ever recorded in 4x100m relay 39.42.

Currently we have 15 Relay National Championships, over 60 National Medal Winners and over 300 National Qualifiers. We are now almost 200 strong and competing in every age division boys and girls. On staff we have 15 coaches and 40 USATF Certified Officials.

Latrivious Bruce

8 & Under Girls

Graduated from Dunbar Senior High School in 2002 and attended college at Paul Quinn College. While at Paul Quinn she received her Bachelor's Degree in Human Performance and Wellness. She continued her education at Dallas Baptist University and received a Master's Degree in Kinesiology.

Currently, LaTrivious is employed with FWISD at Young Women's Leadership Academy where she coaches basketball, volleyball and track.

LaTrivious has been a member of Hallmark Track Club for 19 years, starting at a young age. She is in her 8th year of coaching for Hallmark and is an USATF Certified Official.

Bronchee Braziel

8 & Under Boys

Newton started running for Hallmark at the age of 9 and continued running throughout high school.

He was a Dunbar High School standout in football where he played on the team that went 2nd round in the playoffs. After high school, he attended the University of North Texas.

Andre has been coaching with Hallmark for 3 years.

Twani has been coaching with Hallmark for 4 years.

Somalia Gibson

9 & 10 Girls

Somalia is in her 5th year coaching with Hallmark Track Club. She is a graduate of Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School While at Dunbar, Somalia participated in multiple sports including Basketball (Forward), Softball (Outfield) and Track & Field (Hurdles, 4x100 relay, Triple Jump). She also spent her time in the summer playing in basketball leagues where she received many trophies.

Somalia pursued higher education at Jarvis Christian College from 1999-2001 along with University of Phoenix from 2010-2012.

Somalia is happily married with 2 boys. She works as a Financial Representative at Northwestern Mutual. She is also the First Lady at Assembly of Worship in Arlington, TX and the owner of Innated Yard Service.

Jerome Braziel

9 & 10 Boys

One of the awesome four relay members from Hallmark Track Club. A4-time USATF National Junior Olympic Champion: 3 times in relays and once in the 100 meters. Running on the fastest relay time ever, 39.69 in the Young Mens Division.

A state champion and Bronze medalist in the 4x100m relay and a Silver in the 100m. Also, an All-American Defensive Back for Dunbar High School who accepted a full scholarship and attended TCU. After his career at TCU he played for the CFL for the Saskatchewan Ruff Riders.

Jerome is in his 8th year coaching with Hallmark Track Club and is an USATF Certified Official.

Chad Evans

9 & 10 Boys

We welcome Chad for his 1st year coaching with Hallmark. Before joining Hallmark, Chad was the head coach for the Hubbard Heights Summer Track Club for 3 years.

Chad is a graduate of Eastern Hills High School where he participated as a defensive end in Football and a distance runner for Track. He lettered in both of those sports and also worked as a trainer with the school.

After graduation, Chad continued his education at UT - Arlington (1991-1994) and also TCC in 2008 and 2011. Keeping up with athletics, he also briefly played semi-professional football.

Chad is a proud U.S. Coast Guard veteran.

Stephanie Butler

11 & 12 Girls

Started her career with Hallmark Track Club at the age of 13. She was the first female to represent the club nationally in the 400m in 1998 and 1999. She is a graduate of Southwest High School were she competeted on the Varsity Volleyball, Basketball and Track teams all 4 years. In 1999 she qualified for the State meet in Track and finished 4th overall.

She continued her career at LSU where she was on the 2003 National Championship Team for Indoor and Outdoor. She graduated from LSU with a B.S. in Marketing and a M.S. in Sports Management. She returned to Hallmark to coach and is currently in her 11th year. She is also an USATF Certified Official.

Janee Alexander

13 & 14 Girls

Janee, affectionally known as Coach J, is in her 8th year of coaching with Hallmark.

A native of the DFW area, Janee attended L.D. Bell High School in Hurst, TX and participated in mulitple sports including softball, basketball and track. During her high school career, she lettered her freshman year in track and maintained the record for the 200 meter dash as a junior in 2004 and held it for 5 years.

After finishing high school in 2005, Coach J continued her education at Texas Weslyan in 2011 and graduated in the fall of 2015 with a degree in English and minored in Literature. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education.

Jerrod Braziel

Jeremy Wesley

13 & 14 Boys

Jeremy is entering his 2nd year as a coach with Hallmark.

Keisha Davis

15 -18 Girls

At 9 years she started her affair with track and field, qualifying for theARCO Jesse Owens National in San Diego, CA in her first year of track and field. She went on to win several USATF titles in the 100m.

At Dunbar High School, she was a 3 time state qualifier and in 1990 a State Champion. She went on to graduate from Dunbar and to letter in her first year at Baylor University and transferred to TCU where she was SWC 60m finalist.

She currently is a head coach and coordinator for Hallmark Track Club since 1995 and also is an USATF Certified Official.

Renee Henry

15 -18 Girls

Renee is a native of Fort Worth and a graduate of O.D. Wyatt High School. She participated in Cheerleading and Track while in school and was nominateed for the All American Cheer Squad.

After finishing high school, Renee attended Stephen F. Austin State University where she participated in Intramural Flag Football and was the MVP on the 2006 Flag Football Championship Team. She continued her education at Dallas Baptist University where she is currently pursuing a Masters degree.

Renee has been a coach with Hallmark for 13 years.

Greg Sholars

15 -18 Boys

Greg is a graduate of Southwest High School in Fort Worth, TX where he participated in Football and Track. He was the District champion in football (1983) and an All Tarrant County wide receiver. In Track, Greg was the State champion and record holder in the 100m in 1984. He was also a Textile All American, a Member of USA Junior National Team and a Junior Pan- American Gold medalist in 1984.

Greg continued his education at Texas Christian University (TCU) from 1985-1989. While at TCU, Greg competed on the Track Team and accomplished many honors. He was a 3 time National Champion on the 4x100 meter relay team that was the collegiate record holder (38.23) in 1989. He was a National finalist in the 100m in 1986, 1987 and 1989 and earned 8 All-American Honors during his career. Greg was also a member of the USA National Team in 1988 & 1989 and a member of the World University Team in 1989.

Since TCU, Greg has coached at the University of Florida, University of Texas and Texas Tech University. He has coached several collegiate National Champions and All American Olympians as well as NFL, NBA, and MLB players.

Greg has been coaching with Hallmark Track Club for 12 years and has been a part of coaching over 5 Junior Olympic relay teams.
